  Leodito Rosales Bongo III first solo exhibition, "Distorted Realism," refers to the artist's use of real-world distorted elements while maintaining a sense of realism. “Reflecting Memories Through Realism: Exploring the Fusion of Traditional Oil Painting Techniques with Contemporary Artistic Expression Using Distorted Images of Personal Memento Artifacts and Photographs." Memories are not fully specific, they are fragmented and altered by emotion, so the artist in this exhibition creates a visual representation of a memory through distorted reflections. The spectators will see the perspective of the artist and also feel the emotion and story of those personal memories. Takdol- A Solo Art Exhibit

TAKD🌕L (High Moon)—a powerful and unprecedented fusion of photography, philately, numismatics, fine art, and advocacy by multi-disciplinary artist and regenerative farmer Bernard Restificar. This solo exhibit features 55 mixed-media works, each telling stories of time, memory, and Filipino identity through century-old USPI coins and stamps, captured moments, and textured artistry on white cotton canvas. What makes TAKD🌕L even more luminous is the collaboration with three brilliant Cebuano artists:  •Celso Pepito, with his masterful Cubist interpretations (15 works);  •Lucilo Sagayno, bringing Abstract Impressionist soul (19 works); and,  •Roland Mortejo, blending eclectic modern vision with historical nuance (6 works).  Mark your calendars for May 3, 2025 at 4PM at UP Lahug, Cebu. Balik Lantaw: Retracing, Reconnecting, Remembering, A Journey in Artmaking

If you haven’t yet, catch the art exhibit of renowned Cebu artist Celso Duazo Pepito at the Jose Joya Gallery in the University of the Philippines Cebu, curated by Professor Jay Jore of the College of Communication, Art, and Design. The exhibit, which is titled “Balik Lantaw: Retracing, Reconnecting, Remembering, A Journey in Artmaking,” runs until Friday, January 31, 2020. Celso Pepito is a graduate of BA Fine Arts in the University of the Philippines Cebu in 1981. With the influence of his mentor, Martino Abellana, he started as an impressionist-realist painter, before gradually shifting to modernism. The evolution of his art later produced his own signature style.
